An environment of love and respect. Our environment is creatively constructed to provide a rich play area for them to explore while keeping their safety as our first priority.
The backyard is already spacious and welcoming for parents who would like to visit at any time.
CALF History
My passion for working with children began early age, babysitting my cousins. After high school, I studied to become a medical assistant, interning at Kaiser in the pediatric department before working and eventually managing a busy urgent care clinic. After nine years in the medical field, I decided to leave to pursue another path. Care-A-Lot Family daycare was established in 2008.
Throughout professional experience with working with a multitude of individuals, I have been exposed to a world where care for kids while parents are away at work is scarce. And by having kids of my own has realised the importance of having someone to provide their child a second home away from home.
This gave birth to what Care-A-Lot Family is now. To be able to provide a home albeit temporary to kids who needs it. This include children with special abilities, nonverbal, those who struggle with sensory sensitivities or repetitive behaviors. What struck me the most is their incredible capacity for growth and their unwavering determination to overcome obstacles.
Through this experience, I learned the importance of advocating for the needs and rights of individuals with special needs. It became evident that society must strive to create inclusive environments that offer equal opportunities and support for all individuals, regardless of their abilities. These children taught me to see beyond limitations and focus on the immense potential that lies within each person.

I am a part of Quality Matters with First 5 and have been certified as an Inclusion Endorsed Family Child Care in Santa Clara County.
Arrival and Departures
At drop off, please sign your child in
At pick-up, please ensure you are with your child at sign out
For absences, please let the centre know by 8 am
For late pick-up please let us know asap.
Meals and Snacks
Lunch will be provided by parents. C.A.L.F. provides healthy breakfast and snacks. Breakfast from 7am to 8:30 am. Please have your child eat from home if you plan to arrive after 8:30 am.
Supplies
Parents are responsible for supplying diapers and wipes, weather appropriate change of clothes, (at least 2 changes of clothes for children who are being toilet trained)
Please bring a clean blanket to daycare each Monday for nap or rest time.
NOTE- Please provide enough diapers and wipes to last the week. Your child's blanket must be taken home every Friday and laundered.
